We are all in a relationship one way or another. When one reevaluates relationships one realises how our diverse ideas and our unique ways in which we express ourselves can strain relationships. This brings about an increased appreciation of values and norms within each relationship.  Whether you are married, engaged, or part of a family there will be room for enrichment.

Relationship workshops are not by any means a new concept.  People generally benefit tremendously from these workshops - that is why we’ve decided to incorporate our methodology generally known as AEL (Adventure-related Experiential Learning) to guarantee an even more intense and meaningful learning experience.

The Relationship workshop is a fun experience presented in an emotionally and physically safe environment. This allows all delegates to be themselves and benefit from the process without unnecessary pressure and unrealistic expectations!

The Relationship workshop consists of 2 phases which could be tailored to meet the individual needs of the delegates;
-    Phase 1:  Individual growth (Fundamentals of intrapersonal growth);
-    Phase 2: Relationship growth (Interpersonal growth).

Individual Thinking Style Analysis and Pairs Thinking Style Analysis could be incorporated in the growth plan depending on the need and expectations of the delegates.

A local and international need for youth development has prompted TBI to establish a youth development programme.
These programmes will be presented by a new TBI Franchise: TBI PLAY utilises adventure experiences as a vehicle for the
transfer of learning and subsequent behavioural change. We refer to this methodology as Adventure- related Experiential
  Learning (AEL).

Instilling values such as integrity, honesty, patience, self-control, respect, discipline and determination in our youth is the
only way to guarantee their future. The challenge is to approach the youth in a way which is novel and challenging, if this
happens they will take ownership of the process.

One can generally expect the following outcomes:

►      Self exploration,

►      Individual identity,

►      Leadership,

►      Commitment,

►      Courteousness,

►      Social responsibility

►      Personal goal setting

►      Integrity

►      Diligence

Qualified facilitators will facilitate the interventions. Programmes have been designed to empower teachers, grow strong leaders and develop virtuous and successful sports teams.

The following programmes are facilitated at TBI Wapadrand Pretoria and TBI Cango near Oudtshoorn:

•         Teaching transfer – Teachers programme

•    Lead the way – Leadership development programme (Youth)

•    Team Dynamics – Dynamic team building for any group or team

•    All you can be - holistic youth development programme

•    X-Caro –  Extreme adventure training intervention

•    U programme – Programme to prepare and develop University Hostel leadership groups

We also offer these programmes in the evening, afternoon and on weekends.

Salomon was born in 1947 in the heart of the French Alps and the birthplace of modern alpinism. Driven by passion for skiing and design innovation, Francois Salomon and his son George designed and perfected many of the first modern ski bindings. During the following 60 years, Salomon's commitment to innovative design and passion for mountain sports created a vast range of revolutionary new concepts in bindings, boots, skis and apparel for both alpine and nordic skiing and brought innovative solutions to footwear, apparel and equipment for snowboarding, adventure racing, mountaineering, and many other sports.

Today, Salomon products are sold in over 160 countries and the brand is a global icon. Through performance driven design, Salomon delivers innovation and progression to mountain sports; converting new ideas into action and expanding the limits of possibility. Salomon's heritage, culture, and commitment are tied together by one simple concept: the world’s leading mountain people creating the world’s leading mountain product.

It has been a while since any news was heard from the TBI centre in the Cango Valley. As I am writing there is still some snow on the tips of the mountains, but all the signs of spring is in the air.
For the last six months a lot of time and effort was spent on renovating the buildings. The outcome is truly beautiful and to those of you who have not been here in the last six months, you will hardly recognise the place.
On the training and development side things have also been active. A train the trainer programme has just been completed of which three phases were presented here. Seeing that so many experiences were shared and so much time was spent together, solid friendships were formed and it is good to welcome all the new facillitators into the TBI family.

A very intensive one week course was also prented to Exxaro facillitators which will help spread the AEL gospel.
The latest breaking news from TBI Cango is that we are preparing for a big launch here on the 20th and 21st of September to really introduce ourselves to the potential clients not only in Oudtshoorn but the whole of the Southern Cape. The response thus far has been overwhelming and we are looking forward to two fun filled days and meeting new people!

Together with TBI PLAY, a kind of summer camp is being planned for early December at this venue. So if you are interseted in giving your kids a head start, get in contact with Hardus at our Pretoria office.
So from TBI Cango it is good bye till next time.

Remember...Trust the process!

Two boxes are labelled “A” and “B”. A sign on box A says “The sign on box B is true and the gold is in box A”. A sign on box B says “The sign on box A is false and the gold is in box A”. Assuming there is gold in one of the boxes, which box contains the gold?

Answer 06/07

5,201 eggs. This puzzle has a few different methods for finding the solution, one of which is:

Find a number X into which all of the numbers from 2 to 10 divide evenly. You can do this by simply using 2*3*4*5*6*7*8*9*10, but you can find a smaller number by finding the prime factors, a subset of which can be used to form any number from 2 to 10. 2*2*2*3*3*5*7 will do. This comes out to be 2520, and is the lowest number into which all the numbers 2-10 divide evenly.

We can add 1 to this number to satisfy the first 9 constraints of the puzzle (the remainder of 2521/2, 2521/3 ... 2521/10 is one), but this does not satisfy the last constraint, divisibility by 11.

Fortunately, we can multiply X (=2520) by any integer and add 1 and we will still satisfy constraints 1-9. So what Y do we multiply X by so that (X*Y) + 1 is divisible by 11. 2520/11 has a remainder of 1. Thus two 2520s divided by eleven would have a remainder of 1+1 = 2, and so forth...so ten 2520s divided by 11 would have a remainder of 10. This number plus one would divide eleven evenly, as well as also satisfy the first 9 constraints - thus 25201 is the answer. \
