Ropes courses
Island of Healing™
In addition to running and facilitating activities, TBI
offers a tailor-made construction service that provides training
solutions to Human Resource Practitioners.
Ropes-course elements are defined as facilitated physical,
mental and emotional challenges that require a combination of
teamwork, skills, and individual commitment. The TBI 'Island of
Healing™' can change the way people feel, think and behave if
facilitated according to the specific outcomes the team
identifies. It is widely accepted that whilst certain ropes
courses may resemble an assault or obstacle course in
appearance, the way in which they are used is very different.
Almost any outdoor activity can be used for recreational,
educational, developmental and therapeutic purposes. A ropes
course is intentionally constructed for one or more of these
uses.
As indicated, ropes courses can be utilized for more than one
purpose. The target group can vary from children, students, to
corporate clients. The specific use a ropes course depends on
the need expected outcomes of the programme.
